Lolo tiklo sa anti-drug ops sa Pasay

BUMAGSAK sa kamay ng mga operatiba ng Station Anti-Illegal Drug-Station Operation Task Group (SAID-SOTG) ng Pasay City Police ang isang 65-anyos lolo na nasa top ten drug personality, sa anti-drug operation kamakalawa sa Pasay City.

Kinilala ni Pasay City Police  Officer-In-Charge (OIC), Sr. Supt. Sidney Sultan Hernia ang suspek na si Francisco Navor alyas Batito, ng 505 Edang St., Zone 16, Brgy. 153 ng lungsod.

Nakuha ng mga awtoridad mula sa pag-iingat ng suspek ang isang plastic sachet na hinihinalang shabu.

Ayon kay Sr. Supt. Hernia, dakong 4:30 p.m. nang masakote si Navor sa anti-drug operation na ilunsad ng Pasay Police makaraan makatanggap ng impormasyon kaugnay sa ilegal na operasyon ng suspek.

Nakapiit na ang suspek sa Pasay City Police detention cell at sasampahan ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Act) sa Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.

British drug dealer timbog sa NBI

ARESTADO ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang isang British drug dealer na nahaharap sa sampung-taon pagkakakulong sa United Kingdom dahil sa mga kaso ng paglabag sa bawal na droga.

Kasama ni NBI Director Virgilio Mendez sa pagharap sa media kahapon si Deputy of Head of Mission of the British Embasssy in Manila Trevor Lewis, at mga miyembro ng West Yorkshire Police Services Organized Crime Unit na sina Detective Sergeant Carl Calvin, at Detective Constable Jan Greenwood.

Kinilala ang suspek na si John Holiday, 33, naka-takdang ibalik sa UK sa Huwebes kasama ang dalawang British police.

Base sa rekord na ibinigay ng British Embassy sa NBI,  si Holiday ay sinentensiyahan ng Crown Court of Leeds sa mga kasong paglabag sa Section 170 ng Customs and Excise Ma-nagement Act of 1970, at Conspiracy To Supply Controlled Drug Class B Cathinone Derivative na paglabag sa Section 4 o Misuse Drug Act of 1971.

“He imported drugs from China, India and other countries in Asia and sell it in small amount in our country… per gram it is  thirty pounds or an equivalent of 30 to forty US dollars. There are 20 people members, they are not connected with the international drug syndicate,” paliwanag ni Detective Sergeant Carl Calvin sa mga reporter.

Sampung taon ang parusang inihatol kay Holiday ngunit bago maipataw ang sentensiya ng korte, tumakas  siya  at nagtungo sa Filipinas noong Setyembre 2013.
