Palasyo positibo sa peace nego sa CPP-NPA-NDF

UMAASA ang Palasyo na uusad ang negosasyong pangkapayapaan hanggang malagdaan ang peace agreement ng pamahalaan at Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) bago matapos ang termino ng administrasyong Aquino sa 2016.

Sinabi ni Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Deles, nais ng gobyerno na umarangkada muli ang peace talks sa CPP-NPA-NDF at magkaroon ng peace pact upang hindi na problemahin ng susunod na administrasyon ang armadong tunggalian sa komunistang grupo.

“We don’t want (the) problem of internal armed conflict to remain a major thing that has to be managed or resolved by the next administration,” ani Deles.

Giit niya, gusto ng Palasyo na dalhin sa hapag ng negosasyon ang tunggalian upang magwakas na ang bakbakan sa larangan at magkaroon ng political settlement.

“Of course, we would like that we are able to move this (peace table with the CPP-NPA-NDF) substantially (before the end of PNoy administration); that this internal armed conflict (reach the possibility of a political settlement). We would like to bring this (conflict) to the peace table and push improvement of the situation on the ground,” sabi niya.

Nauna nang inamin ng magkabilang panig na may “friends of the process” nang namamagitan sa kanila upang ituloy na ang naudlot na peace talks.
