P3.3-B unclaimed lotto prizes ibigay sa DSWD (Isinulong ng solon)

102814 moneyISINULONG ng isang mambabatas na ibigay sa Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD) ang hindi kinobrang premyo sa lotto na nagkakahalaga ng P3.35 billion.

Batay sa inihain na House Bill No. 5257 ni Rep. Winston Castelo ng 2nd District, Quezon City, ipinalilipat niya sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) ang pondo sa DSWD.

“The effective and efficient disposition of significant financial resources to benefit rightful beneficiaries and families will further boost the mandate of DSWD. After all, these accumulated unclaimed prizes are deemed already incurred after the one year expiry,” ani Castelo.

Nauna rito, nabunyag na mahigit sa P3 bilyon ang unclaimed lotto prizes mula 2006 hanggang 2013 sa ginanap na pagdinig sa House Committeeon Games Amusement.

Binigyang diin ng mambabatas na malaking tulong ang naturang pondo para sa mahihirap sa pamamagitan ng DSWD.
