May isa ba sa kanila na may movie week-after-week- after-week, two top-rating weekly TV shows and hit songs after hit songs? Anyone of them, too whose both private and public life as a celebrity are chronicled by all magazines and comic-magazines almost daily since bawat araw may minimum of 3 publications that came out then? Come to think of it, not even the Megastar could lay claim na napantayan n’ya at least that kind of popularity in her own time in the 80’s at wala rin kina Juday at Claudine matched even Sharon’s success. So basa-basa lang ng Wikipedia ‘pag may time ang fans ng mga new-generation starlets, ha?! Nakaka-isang butil pa lang ng bigas ang mga idol ninyo pero eto ang Superstar naka-ilang sako na naman with all the movies she has done the almost-concluded year at may mga padating pa with matching award potentials because certainly, her films are not in the league of The Healing or any formula rom-com na ginagawa ng mga idol nila! How irreverent these new breed of fans which remind me of that set of rabid and rude and ignorant ones from the other camp who lack both of breeding and basic intellect even! Grrrrrrrr!!!!” mahabang litanya ng isang Noranian.
“While it may be the current reality that Kim Chiu is more commercially viable than Nora Aunor, the bigger truth is, at the Superstar’s peak, Kim Chiu’s popularity is at best timid. Kim Chiu’s fans should better have a proper perspective of Philippine cinema history,” paliwanag naman ng isa pang fan ni Ate Guy.
