Masyadong inookray si Angelica Panganiban

I’m not close to Angelica Panganiban but I have always admired her from a distance.

Honestly, I like her style and the way she carries herself with dignity in all the years that she’s been in the business.

Siya ba ‘yung tipong parang cool ang dating. Not the cowtowing or ingratiating type kaya si-guro she has considerably maintained her enigma both as a person and as an actress.

Kung may mga nasusulat na intriga sa kanya, hindi ba siya ‘yung tipong magkukumahog magpa-interview para idepensa ang sarili.

Honestly, I won’t forget that day I saw her at the premiere night of the indie movie Edna that was starred in by the consummate actress Irma Adlawan and Mr. Boatman himself Mr. Ronnie Lazaro.

She was in the company of her boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz then and the two of them were ostensible a handsome pair.

Both reticent and reserved and not in the least bit ingratiating to the movie press.

Dahil weakness ko ang magpakuha ng picture with the stars that I would post assiduously at my facebook account, I accosted her and asked if I could have a souvenir shot with her.

Okay naman siya and I noticed that while the camera was being readied for the shot, she was busy texting somebody else but the moment it would click, she was nice enough to look at the camera and flash an engaging smile.

Nice naman.

Bagama’t medyo naiilang siya, she didn’t have the heart to ignore me and really gave in to my request.

Mega nice talaga.

Gusto ko ang mga taong tulad niya na bagama’t hindi naman kami close or that familiar with each other, she nevertheless gave in to our request.

Anyway, lately, some colleagues from the press were accusing her of hurling some unkind words in Angel Locsin’s direction. An allusion that was not in the least bit fair to her since it was Pooh that she was allegedly alluding to when she posted that comment in her instagram account or wherever it was.

At any rate, Ms. Angelica was quick to straighten out some misconception stating further that she and Angel Locsin has already smoked the peace pipe a long time ago.

So be it!

Tigilan n’yo na siya, ano? Nananahimik na ‘yung tao, kung ano-ano’ng mga kaokrayan ang pinaggagagawa n’yo.
