Martyniouk sparringmate ni PacMan (Para sa laban niya kay Algieri)

PERSONAL na pinili ni Trainer Freddie Roach si Stan “The Man” Martyniouk para maging sparring partner ni Manny Pacquiao sa magiging preparasyon nila sa parating na  WBO welterweight title defense kontra kay undefeated Chris Algieri na mangyayari sa Nobyembre sa Cotai Arena, Macau, China.

“I ran into him (Roach) in LA about a few weeks ago and he asked me if I was interested in going to the Philippines and sparring Manny Pacquiao because he feels I have a similar style to Chris Algieri and would be able to give him (Pacquiao) the right sparring that he needs,” pahayag ng  29 year-old Antelope, Calif, native. “Freddie has seen me for several years and knows how I fight.”

Tiniyak ni Martyniouk na hindi niya sasayangin ang isang buwan para magpakundisyon bilang preparasyon naman sa pagpunta niya sa Pilipinas sa Oktubre 5 sa training camp ni Pacquiao.

“It feels great. It’s like dreams do come true,” pahayag ni  Martyniouk. “Thanks to Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach for going giving me the opportunity to come out with them to the Philippines. I will get Manny Pacquiao in tiptop shape and give him the best sparring that I can and he will come out victorious.”

Naniniwala si Martyniouk na maibibigay niya ang mahalagang papel na gagampanan niya sa sparring kay Pacquiao dahil sa pagkakahawig nila ng istilo ni Algieri at taas na 5-foot-10 na may parehong reach na 72″.

Pananaw nga ni Martyniouk tatangkain ni Algieri na ma-outbox si Pacman sa paggamit ng jab.

“I think the problems Algieri will give him (Pacquiao) is keeping him on the distance and not letting him get inside to let his hands go. He is going to use that jab and move in different angles and try to keep Pacquiao in the distance,” dagdag pa ni Martyniouk. “In the first three rounds, it’s going to be a feel ‘em fight. Chris is going to stay the outside and use his jabs just to see what Pacquiao does.”

Pero naniniwala siya na makakahanap ng paraan ang Pambansang Kamao para mapasok sa defensive boxing strategy ni Algieri.

May babala si Martyniouk kay Pacman kahit pa nga sabihing llamado ito  sa laban.
