MAS mabigat na parusa para sa mga employer na hindi nakapagbabayad ng kanilang SSS contributions sa kanilang mga empleyado, ang isinusulong ngayon sa Kamara.
Base sa House Bill 4405 na iniakda nina Reps. Neri Colmenares at Carlos Isagani Zarate (Party-list Bayan Muna), kalahati sa multang ibabayad ng mga walang konsensiyang employer ay ibibigay sa mga empleyadong naagrabyado.
Ayon kay Rep. Colmenares, nasa 164,111 empleyado ang naaapektohan sa non-remittance ng mga pabayang employer simula pa noong 2010, at tinatayang P94 billion ang halaga nito.
“Millions of employees are the most affected by this fraud, the government should ensure to protect the rights of the workers who were regularly deducted their SSS contributions but are being denied their benefits and privileges because of their employers’ failure to remit their contributions,” sambit ni Colmenares.
