2 tow truck company sinuspinde

DAHIL sa mga kasong “reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property” at pang-aabuso sa mga awtoridad, sinuspendi ni Metropolitan Manila Development Authority(MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino ang operasyon ng dalawang kompanya ng tow trucks.

Suspendido ng tatlong buwan ang BNW Towing Services matapos maghain ng reklamo ang Jayross Lucky Seven Tours Bus Co., Inc., sa kasong reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property.

Nakapaloob sa reklamo, ang bus na may plakang UVF-927 ay basta na lamang hinatak ng tow truck ng BW Towing Services sa harap ng Gold Condominium sa Kamias Road, Quezon City  gayong itinabi lamang ng driver sanhi ng engine failure.

Nabatid na hindi nakalkula ng tow truck driver ang Kamias flyover height clearance dahilan upang sumalpok at mawasak ang bus sa nasabing tulay. Tumangging magbayad ang insurance company ng Jayross sa naturang damages ng bus.

Matapos ang isinagawang mga pagdinig sa MMDA, sinuspendi ng MMDA ang BNW’s towing accreditation  sa loob ng tatlong buwan.

“We will never tolerate any acts of abuse from all the accredited tow truck companies.  We are constantly monitoring their operations for the protection of the public,” ani  Tolentino.

Sinuspendi rin ng isang buwan ang tow truck company ng Haplos Towing Services sa kasong “abuse of authority” sa inihaing reklamo ng isang truck operator mula Valenzuela City.

Ayon kay Marissa Paz, ang kanyang Toyota Dyna truck na may plakang WPH-307, ay puwersahang hinatak ng Haplos Towing Services gamit ang seatbelt sa halip na tow bar habang itinutulak ng ilang empleyado ng towing services matapos tumirik ang naturang sasakyan.

“After careful perusal of all evidence on record and testimonies of all the parties concerned, MMDA found irregularity in the towing of the complainant’s truck by the respondent.”

Ayon kay Tolentino, nabigong ipatupad ng Haplos Towing Services ang tamang towing procedures sa ilalim ng MMDA guidelines on Towing.

“All the tow trucks of these companies are restricted within the confines of their garage facilities during the period covered by the suspension orders,” sabi ni Tolentino.
