P0.89/KWh dagdag-singil sa koryente pinaboran ng Palasyo

IPINAGTANGGOL ng Palasyo ang pagpataw ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) ng dagdag na P0.89/ kWh ngayong Abril.

“You know, that’s bit simplistic in the way that rates do change from time to time, and we do have a mechanism in place to address these petitions. I am not quite sure if it’s 89 centavos. I heard differently this morning, you’ll have to double check that, but we’ll see. ‘Yung November and December ho kasi sa aking pagkakaalam ay naka-TRO pa rin. So—but that does not preclude them from applying for rate increase for a particular month,” sagot ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte hinggil sa pangakong proteksyon ng Malacanang sa consumers laban sa power rate hike.

Inihayag ng Meralco, makikita ng kanilang consumers ang pagtaas ng P0.89 kada kWh ngayong buwan sa generation charge na kanilang sinisingil.

“ Iba iba naman ‘yong rate changes nila talaga e, for particular months lang ‘yan,” depensa pa ni Valte sa power rate hike ng Meralco.
