THE Department of Finance (DOF) under Secretary Ceasar Purisima has started working toward maximizing BOC revenue collection by creating two (2) special unit, the CPRO and ORAM to ensure proper collection.
This will be directly under the supervision of DOF that can help to increase or to improve the problem of collection at the Bureau of Customs.
The DOF Chief also instructed to check or to track down all pending cases at BoC under Internal Inquiry and Prosecution Division (IIPD) to find out who among the customs personnel or customs official still have pending cases.
Marami raw kaso ang tila hindi nagagawan ng action at nareresolba ng nasabing dibisyon.
Alam naman natin na sa nakaraang sistema ay may mga reklamo o kaso ng Customs personnel na napakikiusapan ng kanilang ‘padrino’ para hindi gumalaw ang imbestigasyon sa kanila.
Ito ngayon ay binubusisi ng DOF, kasama na rin ang DOF-RIPS na magre-review sa pending cases sa IIPD.
Again, this is in line with the government’s reform sa BoC.
