Ipinagmamalaki ng mga pambato ng administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas na ang kanilang ticket ay may kongkretong magagawa para sa Filipinas sakaling mahalal na mga bagong senador sa paparating na midterm elections sa Mayo.
Sa isinagawang pulong-balitaan dito sa probinsiya ng Negros Oriental nitong Huwebes, 20 Pebrero, ipinagdiinan ni ACT-CIS Partylist Representative at former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo na ang kanilang koalisyon ay may klaro at matatag na mga isusulong na batas para sa ikauunlad ng sambayanang Filipino at hindi basta-basta pinulot kung saan.
“Well, we are very confident na mananalo kami dito sa Negros because of the fact na dito sa Negros Oriental … nanalo nga ang Pangulo dito, and hindi naman siguro mapapahiya ang Pangulo because may mga pangako siya nai-deliver din naman. So, he’s very confident also na mabibitbit niya ang ‘Alyansa,’” sabi ni Tulfo.
“At the same time, dito po sa 12 kandidatong pinili naman po ito ng Pangulo. Hindi po ito pinagpupulot-pulot kung saan-saan,” dagdag ni Tulfo.
Kompiyansa ang buong ‘Alyansa’ na maduduplika rin nila sa Negros Oriental ang tagumpay ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., noong 2022 national elections, at makakukuha ng todong suporta sa mga botante rito.
“Any endorsement from a popular endorser will definitely boost or help the chances of those being endorsed. And you, yourself stated a while ago in your preliminary statement, that the President overwhelmingly won in Negros Oriental,” sagot ni dating Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson.
“So the other half is it’s up to us to inform the people kung ano ‘yong aming mga plataporma, ano ‘yong aming mga accomplishments and all. So, the way to do it is the same way that we are campaigning in the other parts of the country,” paliwanag ni Lacson.
Si dating Senator Manny Pacquiao, kompiyansang makakukuha ng malaking suporta mula sa Negros.
“Ang grupong Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas ay kompiyansa para makakuha ng maraming boto sa inyo sa Negros Oriental especially sa Dumaguete na nanalo rin dito ang Pangulo. So, iyong programa ng ‘Alyansa’ ay para sa kabutihan ng sambayanang Filipino. Ito ay magpo-focus sa pagbibigay ng trabaho at hanapbuhay, negosyo para sa maliliit na pamilya,” punto ni Pacquiao.
Maging si dating Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, maganda ang nakikitang tsansa ng ‘Alyansa’ sa Negros Oriental.
“The answer is yes, obviously because the President is endorsing us and if you look at the lineup, the 12 candidates of ‘Alyansa’, we are confident that the people of Negros Oriental will see the experience, and the help that we’ve given the country, the efforts as public servants that we have served,” ani Sotto.
Sang-ayon naman si dating DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos na makukuha nila ang matamis na ‘oo’ ng mga taga-Negros.
“The president has won … in Negros and I do believe, our performance will speak for itself. And it will be down to ‘Alyansa’,” wika ni Abalos.
Sa panig nina Deputy Speaker Camille Villar at Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, optimistiko rin silang makukuha ang boto ng mga taga-Negros.
“Yes, first we are very happy to be here in Dumaguete and also Negros Oriental to introduce ourselves and also to show support for the actions and for the program of our dear President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., and we hope in the same way that they have welcomed him and appreciated his efforts, that they will welcome us as well,” ayon kay Villar.
“Lagi namang sinasabi namin na we are confident to win in the area that we are going into. I guess the fact that the President won here in 2022 is an added bonus especially if you are part of the administration’s slate. But if you noticed the speech of the President, consistently, sinasabi niya, ilan sa amin ang abogado, ilan sa amin ang congressman, ilan sa amin ang dati nang may experience sa government,” sabi naman ni Mayor Binay.
Kabilang din sa ‘Alyansa’ ticket sina Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Senator Pia Cayetano, Senator Lito Lapid, Senator Imee Marcos. at Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino. (GERRY BALDO)
