Zoomers proud sa pagkapanalo sa ContentAsia Award

PINARANGALAN ang digital youth-oriented series na Team Zoomers na kinabibilangan nina Harvey Bautista, Krystl Ball, Ralph de Leon, Luke Alford and Criza bilang Best Asian Short-Form Drama/Series sa katatapos na ContentAsia Awards sa Taipei, Tawain  na personal na tinanggap ng creative director nilang si Theodore Boborol.

“Who would have thought! Kasi we’re supposedly just an online show and mga baguhan. And then biglang Best Asian Short-Form series. I feel pride for the creative team, for the directors and the cast and I’m hoping na ‘yung award na ‘yan na it will inspire them, na there is no small project or big project. Just put your heart into it, mapapansin ka at mapapansin ka,” ani Direk Theodore nang humarap ang mga ito noong September 26 para sa Star Magic’s Spotlight presscon.

Mapapanood sa Zoomers ang mix ng bago at familiar faces na mga teen actor. Isa na rito si Harvey na kilala mula sa Goin’ Bulilit hanggang sa kanyang special role sa Pamilya Sagrado at appearance sa High Street. Gumaganap si Harvey bilang si Jiggs sa series na Zoomers.

“I’m very proud of this cast and for me its still very overwhelming. It’s still very scary for me getting all the attention na I’m not used to. But I’m still grateful for the opportunities that have come for me this year,” sabi ni Harvey.

Acting debut naman ito ni Krystl Ball na gumaganap  bilang ‘Tania’ na parte ng isang Girls’ Love storyline kasama ang kanyang fellow Star Magic artist na si Kei Kurosawa.

“I was struggling talaga with the script, everything, nagpatulong ako sa mga classmate ko kasi I have no experience at all but of course I saw my improvements with my Tagalog, acting, facial expression. I’m hoping for my next project na I’ll be more confident and hopefuly I get to play roles other than what I played in Zoomers,” sabi naman ni Krsytl.

Ipinakilala rin ng Zoomers si Ralph, isang multi-talented athlete, host, at actor na ginagampanan ang character na si ‘Atom.’ Napanood din siya sa High Street na ang kanyang character ay kasama sa love triangle na parte ang character ni Xyriel Manabat.

“Just being able to bring my real-life experiences as someone who always pressured myself to be able to achieve a lot–-medyo therapeutic din siya eh, noong nailalabas ko siya sa eksena. So, it was a great experience.“ sabi ni Ralph.

Isa rin sa main cast si Luke Alford bilang si ‘Kokoy’ na nakilala sa The Voice Kids at PBB: Kumunity Season 10.

“Nakaka-pressure kasi kasama na siya sa portfolio namin. Mas gagalingan pa, mas magfo-focus sa craft na kung paano kami mag-e-excel sa pag-acting and kahit sa pagpe-perform, at sa ‘pag influence ng ibang tao,” sabi ni Luke nang matanong tungkol sa kanilang susunod na hakbang matapos ang pagkapanalo.

Isa rin sa bida ang actress- influencer at dating PBB housemate na si Criza. Ginagampanan niya ang isa sa mga lead role na si ‘Hope’ kasama si Harvey na love interest niya sa series.

“Super overwhelming kasi knowing na kaming dalawa ni Harvey, ito ‘yung first bida role namin and then may award agad. Sobrang sarap sa feeling and in a way parang nakaka-pressure rin siya,“ sabi naman ni Criza.

Makikita ang talent at dedication ng team ng Zoomers mapalikod o harap man ng camera. Patunay ito na nararapat ang pagkapanalong international nila at marami pang dapat aabangan sa cast.
