Cool Cat Ash crush si Daniel, umaming allergic sa romantic love

IBA’T IBANG damdamin ang ibinuhos ng singer-songwriter na si Cool Cat Ash sa kanyang bagong album na i find love. so. so. weird. na mapakikinggan simula ngayong araw, Biyernes (Oktubre 27).

Ang album ay nilalaman ng 11 awitin na isinulat at ipinrodyus mismo ni Cool Cat Ash na kilala rin sa tunay niyang pangalan na Ashley Aunor. Mula sa novelty at rock songs, sinubukan naman niya ang kanyang talento sa pagbuo ng pop at upbeat songs.

“Hindi ko ini-expect na ilalabas ko itong songs in the first place. Star Music encouraged me to write more upbeat and pop songs because they believed in me, so I’m very happy that they supported me in that way,” aniya.

Sa key track na i find love. so. so. weird., ibinahagi ni Cool Cat Ash ang nakakakabang pakiramdam na mahulog para sa taong minamahal at kung paano nakaaapekto ang peer pressure mula sa iba’t ibang tao.

“It’s all about me finding love so, weird kasi medyo allergic ako sa romantic love. I feel like I’m too scared to fall deeply in love and I’m scared of being vulnerable and intimate with anyone. For this, na-feel ko ‘yung peer pressure mula sa mga taong nahanap na ‘yung taong mahal nila,” kuwento niya sa naganap na album launch noong Miyerkoles (Oktubre 25).

Sa mediacon na isinagawa, natanong si Cool Cat Ash kung sino ang gusto nitong maka-colab at walang kagatol-gatol nitong sinabi na si Ed Sheeran. At sa local, si Daniel Padilla. 

“Yes sa local naman si Daniel Padilla naman dahil matagal ko na siyang crush bata pa man ako,” pag-amin pa ng kapatid ni Marion Aunor. 

Samantala, napag-alaman naming limang taong gulang pa lang ay inilabas na niya ang unang album na Gusto Kong Kumanta na isinulat ni Alex Catedrilla ngunit inihinto niya ang kanyang career para bigyang pokus ang pag-aaral. Sa kasulukuyan, kinukuha niya ang kursong music production sa Berklee College of Music Boston habang nagtratrabaho bilang songwriter, producer, sound engineer, at DJ. 

Pinangalanan siyang Rock Artist of the Year sa PMPC Star Awards 2022 at Novelty Artist of the Year naman noong 2021 habang ang awitin niyang Mataba ay hinirang naman na Novelty Song of the Year. Bukod dito, bahagi rin siya ng songwriting at production duo na Aunorable Productions kasama ang kapatid at kapwa singer na si Marion.

Bilang recording artist, nakapaglabas na siya ng ilang awitin tulad ng Changes, Best Friend, at Gone Too Soon.
