Julie Anne sobrang na-excite sa collab nila ni Gary V

KITANG-KITA ang excitement at kaba kapwa kina Gary Valenciano at Julie Anne San Jose sa isinagawang media conference para sa kanilang collaboration na Di Ka Akin ng Universal Records. 

Aminado si Gary na may kaba sa kanya sa pagharap sa entertainment press para sa Di Ka Akin mediacon dahil, “it’s a brand new song with a brand new collaboration that I haven’t done in a while. So, kinakabahan ako,” pag-amin ni Gary.

At saka sinabing,“There’s a certain element of peace in my heart that I did the right thing (pakikipag-collab).”

Grateful naman si Julie Anne kay  Gary at sa Universal Records dahil naisakatuparan ang isa sa pangarap niya, ang makipag-collab kay Gary.

Pagkukuwento ng Limitless star, nabuo ang Di Ka Akin last year. “Actually when I wrote the song last year, it was originally na parang solo lang na kanta. And then si Tito Gary parang he’s always been one of the people talaga na I’ve always wanted to collab with. It’s always been a dream.

“I’ve always want to write songs for other people and artists as well. And then Universal Records called me they asked me kung gusto kong makipag-collab kay Tito Gary V. and I said ‘are serious?’ parang ‘ha? joke ba ito? Totoo ba talaga?’ And like saktong-saktong sobrang excited din ako and I’ve never done this before and its first time to do this.”

Sinabi pa ni Julie Anne na madalas silang nagkakabanggaan ni Gary sa ilang events at napag-uusapan na nila ang paggawa ng proyekto together. 

“Kinikilig ako and sobrang surreal na finally nangyari na and si tita Angeli (Pangilinan) sobrang thankful din ako sa kanya na pumayag sila to do this. Tapos parang it all happens so fast. Na sakto mayroon akong isang song and then I figured na parang bagay siyang maging duet, and ‘yun na. Inirecord na namin ‘yung song tapos nakatutuwa, nakatataba ng puso because si Tito Gary kasi isa siya sa mga musical influences ko eversince I was a kid, so parang ang surreal lang that everything is happening,” masayang pagbabahagi pa ng singer/aktres.

Aminado naman si Gary na hindi gusto na niyang makipag-collab agad kay Julie Anne kahit hindi pa niya naririnig ang naturang kanta 

“Because when you talk about artist at the level of Julie Anne, these are artists who don’t come up a song for the sake of coming up of a songs. They came out or something that stem from something and I found out she was going to write a song. 

“So when I found out when Angeli sent me the song  and when I heard it, it’s more of ‘bagay ka ba sa ganito Gary?’ Hindi, ano kasi it’s a love song. So how do you…parang paano babagay sa age ko doing a love songs like this?  But it work out. 

“When i heard a song, it’s just a matter of time because both of us have different schedules. I didn’t want just to say yes for the sake of something new. What we did, I presented it to Mon Faustino he did an initial arrangement and I told Julie Anne about it. And she said naman what she wanted. And next things I knew, I hear the music na. And when I heard the songs ayun na,” kuwento pa ni Mr Pure Energy.

Kasabay ng media conference ang premiere ng musical video na talaga namang makabagbag-damdamin dahil sa hypnotic mellow vibe nito gayundin ang mensahe nito na tila hindi maka-move on sa nasirang pag-iibigan.

Kasabay ng Di Ka Akin ang anunsiyo ng Universal ng pakikipag-partner nila sa Singapore based music label, ang Cross Ratio Entertainment. Layunin ng partnership ang mapalakas at mai-promote ang Southeast Asian music around the globe at maging tulat sa mga artist at audience ng mga kalapit bansa para magkaisa sa bago at existing fans sa SEA region.
