“People often think that sports are mainly for men. But recent sports successes are a testament that women have the strength and determination to win in sports and life. We are happy that through our programs we get to encourage women to appreciate sports and even take it up professionally,” pahayag ni PSC-WIS oversight Commissioner Celia Kiram.
“It is fulfilling to be able to contribute to women and sports development, especially at the grassroots level because we want equitable opportunities for women in sports. We envision a stronger presence of women in whatever sporting field there is, locally and internationally. We at the PSC-Women in Sports also want to see more and more girls and women enjoying a healthier lifestyle through fitness and sports,” dagdag ni Comm. Kiram.
“We are firm in our commitment to promote sports to achieving holistic wellness–from physical, mental, and emotional. And we dared to deliver on this commitment through Rise Up! Shape Up! giving our online audience access to information on physical fitness and sports appreciation.” Pagtatapos ng lady commissioner.
