Pagbasura sa DQ kay Marcos ‘di nakapagtataka – Makabayan

HINDI, umano, nakapagtataka ang desisyon ng Korte Suprema na ibasura ang mga petisyon na idiskalipika si President-elect Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., sa takda ang mismong Chief Justice ang mangangasiwa sa kanyang panunumpa.

Ayon kay Assistant Minority leader and ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro: “We were no longer surprised with the decision of the Supreme Court dismissing the disqualification case against president-elect Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., considering that even Chief Justice Gesmundo himself agreed to administer the oath of office for his inauguration,”

“We just hope that the Supreme Court would uphold its independence and initiative especially on the issues and cases involving human rights, welfare of consumers and our country’s sovereignty,” anang kongresista ng titser.

Kaugnay nito, binatikos ni Gabriela Partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas ang gustong mangyari ng Philippine National Police na gawing online ang kilos protesta ng nga kritiko ni Marcos sa Hunyo 30 sa inagurasyon ng anak ng dating diktador.

“The misplaced anxieties by the PNP and AFP in ensuring a smooth inauguration for Bongbong (Marcos Jr.) must not be projected against protesters who will only peacefully exercise their constitutional right to free speech.

“Paanong hindi kikilos ang mamamayan e hanggang ngayon, walang plano ang bagong administrasyon sa pagpapababa ng presyo ng langis at pagkain? Ganyan ba ang babangong muli? The people, not the PNP and AFP, have all the right to be anxious and watchful at this point,” ani Brosas.

“Dapat hayaang umagos ang demokratikong sentimyento ng kababaihan at mamamayan sa lansangan. We warn PNP chief Danao against initiating violent dispersals on those who will assemble in Manila on June 30,” giit ni Brosas. (GERRY BALDO)
