Holy Week vacation nina Ice at Liza ‘nasira’

BIYERNES Santong Biyernes Santo, umariba sa aming Facebook ang posts nina Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP)Chairman Liza Diño Seguerra at mister nitong si Ice Seguerra ang reklamo sa ginawa sa kanila ng John’s Hammock Vacation House sa Tagaytay.

Say ni Ice, “Imagine being so excited dahil finally, makakapag-bakasyon ka na kasama nang buong pamilya mo tapos pagdating mo roon sa kung saan kayo naka-book, malalaman mo na may iba na palang nandoon. At bilang Holy Week, hindi mo alam kung saan ka pupulutin dahil puno na lahat.

“Yes, ‘yun ang nangyari sa amin, dahil sa Agoda and John’s Hammock Vacation House. Apparently, may internal agreement sila na hindi na nila gagamitin ang platform ng Agoda. Ang problema, sila lang ang nakaaalam. Kaya nagkaroon ng double booking. Ang sabi ng property owners, hindi raw nila kasalanan ‘yun. Ang sa akin lang naman, bilang responsableng owners, hindi po ba responsibilidad niyo rin na siguraduhin na wala na kayong ads at kung ano mang collaterals sa platform ng Agoda para hindi mangyari ‘yung mga ganito? Eh bakit naka-paskil pa rin (see photo below, ss was taken this afternoon)? Tapos ipinaramdam niyo sa amin na bahala na kami sa buhay namin kung saan kami pupulutin. 

“Sana lang, kaunting accountability lang, hindi ‘yung parang wala lang sa inyo ‘yung nangyari.

“Hindi ba dapat ipinasasara na ang mga ganyan katiwali at ‘di na mapagkakatiwalaang mga negosyo?”

For Chair Liza, Holy Week Mishap ito.

“Whose fault is it when a property you booked and paid for is double-booked by another guest? 

“Imagine yourself looking forward to this once-in-a-year quality time with your family this holy week. You book a place that will accommodate all 18 members of your family—from seniors to babies. You pay at a booking website (agoda) and get your confirmation receipt, including information on how to get to your “home away from home”  for the next four days. 

“You’re all set. Or so you thought. 

“Bec when you got to the place…may ibang pamilya palang nag-oocupy ng binook mong lugar. And dahil nauna sila, ikaw ang kailangang umalis. 

“In your head, is this really happening? San kami pupunta? Pano ang pamilya mong naiinip na at naghihintay? 

“So you look for the person in charge. But here’s the worst part, the persons in charge are not claiming any responsibility for the double booking nor offering any solution to fix the situation. Further, there was no explanation on what will happen to our payment and how they could help address our issue. 

“So yes, this is a call out to #johnshammockvacationhouse.

“While what happened to us was really unfortunate,  the worst experience was our encounter with you where instead of apologizing, You tried to make us feel na hindi nyo kasalanan at pinapasa nyo sa booking website ang problema at kasalanan namin na nagbook kami through that booking platform.

“Nasira ang plano ng pamilya namin dahil sa inyo. 

“The least that you can do is to APOLOGIZE for the double booking, take responsibility for not managing the booking platforms you work with, and then offer alternative solutions on how we can find another place. 

“You are in the hospitality business…at the very least, be hospitable. But no, hinayaan nyo lang kami hanggang sa umalis na lang kami bec of frustration.

“P.S. I tried to contact Agoda but since this was a confirmed booking, it was asking me to contact your property. So pano na?”

Marami na rin palang similar incidences na nangyayari sa ganitong kapabayaan. Eh, bakit nakapag-o-operate pa sila?

Makapag-suggest nga. Ng mga nasa bucket list ko na pupuntahan. 

Sa El Patio Razon in Sito Maysawa, Tanay, Rizal. ‘Yan ‘yung may malaking kawa na pwedeng hot or cold ipaligo niyo, may Hobbit Houses at marami pa.

At sa Tinukan, Tanay, Rizal naman is Loretta’s Vineyard and Campsite. Pwede mag-fishing. Mamitas from their fruit bearing trees ad vegetable gardens, maligo sa ilog and many more.

Naku, magkapit-bahay pa yata these two breath-taking places for the whole family!

Google na.  At very legit sila! Walang overbooking!
