NAKAPAG-TAPING na si Jao Mapa sa bago niyang sitcom titled Puto na pinagbibidahan nina Herbert Bautista at McCoy de Leon. Ito ay mapapanood sa TV5 very soon.
Inusisa namin si Jao hinggil sa role niya sa naturang sitcom.
Sagot niya, “I am Dan, dating high school classmate ni Puto, I become successful in business and wants to get Puto’s recipe for making puto… this is directed by Raynier Brizuela.”
Anong klaseng katrabaho sina Herbert at McCoy?
Esplika ni Jao, “Ang tinik nina mayor Herbert at si McCoy, nag-enjoy ako working with them.”
Dagdag pa niya, “Medyo nangangapa pa ako noong una, pero lumuwag noong tumagal-tagal, made me miss doing comedy for a long time. In the end I was proud of myself, I was able to shoot three episodes in one day and enjoyed and had lots of fun doing it.”
Kasama rin sa sircom na Puto sina Lassy Marquez, Jojo Abellana, Chad Kinis, TJ Valderrama, at iba pa.
Tila mas magiging active ulit sa showbiz si Jao dahil bahagi rin siya ng pelikulang Balangiga 1901 na tinatampukan nina Ejay Falcon, Jason Abalos, Richard Quan, Mark Neumann, Franco Miguel, Emilio Garcia, Ricardo Cepeda, at iba pa.
“Looks like it, I pray everyday and eto, ang daming offers na nagsusulputan,” pakli niya.
“I don’t expect to be super active like before in the 90s, but I guess it’s the new me, more mature, marami nang paghuhugutan sa mga pinagdaanan ko since, they keep asking why I left showbiz, which I never did…
“But to be given a chance again to prove myself is indeed a blessing,” wika pa ni Jao.
