NABALITA na may pelikulang gagawin ang Superstar na si Nora Aunor sa Godfather Productions ni Joed Serrano.
At ang magiging direktor nito ay ang premyadonf direktor na si Adolf Alix, Jr.
Nausisa ko si Direk tungkol dito. Na para bang nagiging paborito niya ang Superstar. Ano ba ang nagugustuhan niya sa pakikipagtrabaho rito?
“I think ‘yung age range po niya is ripe for beautiful character studies. Plus of course I grew up watching her great work as an actress. So if there is a role that I think Ate Guy can play, we try and offer it to her.
“I never had problems with her in the previous projects (‘Padre de Pamilya,’ ‘Whistleblower,’ ‘Role Play’ and an episode in ‘Karelasyon’).
“I think her willingness to collaborate and she still wants to grow as an actress through the roles gives a leeway for directors to create interesting films with her. Ako naman I always tell her what I think about the character she is portraying but I also give her space to breathe as an actor to do her job within the confines of what is given.”
At sa panibagong paraan ng panonood ng mga pelikula-digitally, kumusta naman?
“I think this a a new direction we can’t shy away upon especially given the realities of the pandemic. So dapat pong pag-aralan paano ma-utilize ang medium na ito to bring in audiences. But nothing still beats the cinema experience. So sana makabalik pa and I think it will kapag okay na po ang situation…”
Ayon kay Joed, Kontrabida ang titulo at konsepto ng proyekto niya para sa Superstar.
“When I was meeting with Sir Joed po I mentioned to him na I have a project called ‘Kontrabida’ with Ate Guy. He said he is also looking for a project na ganoon ang title.
“Before the pandemic, January I was telling Ate Guy about the story and she liked it. Sabi ko I will try to pitch it and look for a producer. So I think it was the right time and now we will start filming. Si Jerry Gracio po ang writer. At nag-meet kami ni Joed because of Wendell Ramos na artista niya in one of his movies.”
May pelikula para sa MMFF2020 si Adolf. At may Happenstance din siya na magsisimulang mag-stream sa araw ng Pasko, a BL story.
“That is what’s good with Ate Guy. ‘Di po siya takot to try new things as long as she responds to the material. Maganda pong character study ito and I think she saw that kaya she is excited to do it too.”
