Digong buntot ‘nabahag’ vs solons na corrupt

 KUNG gaano kabagsik sa pagbabanta at binabasa pa ang pangalan ng mga pangkaraniwang empleyado na umano’y sangkot sa korupsiyon, tila nabahag ang buntot ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga kongresista na idinadawit sa katiwalian sa mga proyekto sa kanilang distrito.

Sinabi ng Pangulo sa kanyang pre-recorded public address kamakalawa ng gabi, isinumite sa kanya ni Presidential Anti Crime Commission (PACC) Commissioner Greco Belgica ang listahan ng umano’y mga kongresistang sabit sa panghihingi ng kickback o komisyon sa mga contractor na gumagawa ng kanilang inendosong mga proyekto sa kanilang distrito.

“Ganito, ang PACC, they have communicated to me that they have already the list of congressmen who are into the business of asking commissions from the contractors. And lumabas doon na ang namimili ng mga contractors para sa kanilang mga projects iyong mga congressman at doon sila kumukuha,” aniya.

Ngunit tumanggi ang Pangulo na basahin ang mga pangalan sa listahan ni Belgica dahil ang sakop lamang umano ng kanyang kapangyarihan ay sangay ng ehekutibo at hindi lehislatura at hudikatura na co-equal branch.

Kaugnay nito, ipinagtanggol ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque ang pagdistansiya ng Pangulo sa isyu ng katiwalian ng mga mambabatas pero direktang nakasawsaw sa kaso ni Senator Leila de Lima.
