NAGKAISA ang fans ni Liza Soberano sa pagtatanggol sa kanya laban sa akusasyong sumapi siya sa komunistang New People’s Army.
Vlogger Maui Becker/Maui Vega accused Liza last Wednesday of purportedly joining the New People’s Army.
At the webinar of Gabriela Youth, Liza delievered a moving speech on the different social issues that are affecting the youth of today.
Halfway in her emotional speech, napaiyak ang young actress habang inaalala ang mga babaeng personal niyang kilala na naging biktima ng pang-aabuso pero mas piniling magsawalang-kibo.
“I know a lot of women in my life who have struggled with this.
“And I find it so unfair that we women have to go out every day in fear of being catcalled, in fear of dressing a certain way, and getting called out for the way we’re dressed.
“And I fear that my nieces and my future children won’t be able to go out into a safe environment.”
But she has come to realize that it’s important to have a stand.
Dahil dito, ini-encourage ni Liza ang mga kilalang personalidad to have a stand and support the women and the youth of today who became victims of abuse and harassment.
Last October 14, Liza’s speech was the topic of vlogger Maui.
She calls herself ‘DDS Princess’ and she has some 9,000 subscribers.
Maaari kang maaresto, makulong, masaktan, kundi man mapatay.
