INIUTOS ni Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso ang pagsasagawa ng libreng mass swab test sa market vendors, mall employees, hotel staffers, restaurant workers, e-trike drivers, tricycle drivers, pedicab drivers, jeepney drivers at bus drivers bilang bahagi ng kanyang pinalawig na hakbang laban sa CoVid-19.
Base sa Executive Order No. 39, inatasan ng alkalde ang Manila Health Department (MHD) na magsagawa ng libreng swab test sa mga nabanggit na sector makaraan ang paglulunsad ng ikalawang molecular laboratory sa Sta. Ana Hospital.
“The real threat of CoVid-19 will continue to persist in our community, thereby sending fear to every person of getting infected with it. This fear will affect not only the individual preferences and behavior or every person, but also the economic growth (of the city),” ayon sa alkalde.
“In order to allay the fear of getting infected with CoVid-19, there is a need to assure the public that employees of these frequently visited establishments are CoVid-19 free and thus spur economic activities,” pahayag ni Mayor Isko.
Aniya, nagkaloob ng libreng RT-PCR testing ang lokal na pamahalaan bilang hakbang para mabalanse ang kalusugan at ekonomiya para sa kapanatagan rin ng mamamayan sa lungsod.
Kaugnay nito, inatasan ni Isko ang mga hepe ng Manila Bureau of Permits and Licensing Office, Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila, at Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) na obligahin ang mga establisimiyento na nasa ilalim ng kanilang hurisdiksiyon na lumagda ng mandatory health declaration forms upang palawigin ang contact tracing sa lungsod.
