“SPREADER of fake news.”
Jim made a biting commentary on Karen Davila’s Twitter post paying homage to Ted as her co-anchor for six years.
According to her post last August 30 in the evening, “Nakasama ko si Si Ted Failon ng 6 na taon sa TV Patrol noong 2004-2010.”
“Saan ka man mapunta Ted, I am praying for your success. God be with you.”
The other day, Monday, August 31, Ted said goodbye to her radio program Failon Ngayon and at TV Patrol as well that he was able to anchor for 30 years at ABS-CBN.
The member of the APO Hiking Society openly accused Ted as the purported ‘spreader of fake news,’ pagkatapos mag-sorry lay Karen.
But a netizen-lawyer dared him to prove what he was able to say that Ted is a spreader supposedly of fake news.
“Name one fake news he spread,” he dared Jim.
According to the 69-year-old veteran singer, Ted sided with Persida Acosta, the reigning chief of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), in connection with the issue of Dengvaxia vaccine last 2018.
“He sided with Persida on the issue of dengvaxia. He did not speak out against the manufactured data on deaths her office was touting even when top doctors and experts were contradicting her.”
Malaking pinsala raw ang dulot nito.
“Because of that,” he asseverated, “he eroded the trust in vaccines and help spread polio, chicken pox, etc.”
The netizen asseverated, “Assuming it were true, siding and keeping silent are not spreading fake news.”
Sagot ni Jim, “He was not silent.”
The netizen further commented, “Him not speaking out (in your own words) doesn’t make him a spreader of fake news.”
At this juncture, Jim didn’t answer anymore.
