Latay nina Allen at Lovi, may European premiere ngayong Aug. 3

Gaganapin ito sa The outdoor Theatre, Ettore Scola, na matatagpuan sa Casa del Cinema, Largo Marcello Mastroianni, sa Rome, Italy.

Bago ang European Premiere nito sa 18th Asian Film Festival, nauna muna ang World Premiere nito sa 25th Kolkata International Film Festival sa India. Ang pelikula ay mula sa panulat at pamamahala ni Direk Ralston Jover at prodyus ng BG Productions ni Ms. Baby F. Go.

Nagpasalamat at nagbigay ng mensahe ang dalawang lead ng pelikulang ito.

Saad ni Allen, “I would like to thank Asian Film Festival for this opportunity to showcase our humble film. Latay or Battered Husband is based on research about husband, abused in the Philippines. It’s about unusual rural couple, where the husband is awkwardly the suffering type and the wife is the violent persona.

“I’m playing the role of Lando, the laidback fisherman who is battered physcially, emotionally, psychologically by his own troubled wife, played by Lovi Poe. This is directed by Ralston Jover, under BG Production International.

“This is one of my most challenging role, to date. Thank you for supporting our film and the rest of the Filipino films in the festival.”

Pahayag naman ni Lovi, “Hello everyone, I’m Lovi Poe, the lead actress of Latay film, directed by Ralston Jover, under BG Productions International. First, I would like to thank Asian Film Festival for showcasing our movie, thanks festival director, Mr. Antonio Termenini. Well I just wanna share that Latay is about a couple that has all the ideals of making love work, ideally, but social forces coupled with their struggling egos, made them drift apart.

“Well, the movie is about the sexual politics of doomed husband and wife, and of course, I’m playing the role of Lori, the violent wife of Olen, played by Mr. Allen Dizon, the battered husband in the story.

“I’m also an aspiring Overseas Filipino Worker, dreaming for a better life. And that’s why I just can’t wait for you guys to watch the movie. So catch our film on Monday, August 3, at 8:45PM.”
