Anak ni Robin kay Leah, gustong maging hero

TRENTA años na ang anak ng action king na si Robin Padilla sa minsang naging bahagi ng showbiz na si Leah Orosa.

Sa Facebook ko madalas makatalamitam si Leah, na naging malapit din sa akin sa panahon ng love story nila ni Manong Batch.

Kaya nang magdiwang ng kanyang ika-30 kaarawan si Camille, nag-request si Leah na makahingi ako ng video greeting from Robin and Marielle.

Hindi makatawag ng derecho si Leah kina Robin dahil nasa cellphone ni Camille ang number nito at ni Marielle at sorpresa nga ang nasabing pagbati sa kaarawan ng dalaga.

Naipahatid ko naman ang mensahe kina Manong Batch, Marielle, at sa manager ni Binoe na si Betchay Vidanes.

Napanood ko ang video ng simple at intimate (with social distancing, of course) na pagsasaya ni Camille at kanyang pamilya. At tuwang-tuwa ito sa pagbati ng ama at ni Marielle kasama ang bunso nila.

Nagkuwento si Leah sa kanyang si Camille.

“She was featured in a magazine (SD Voyager) where she shared her dreams. Awkward kid talaga siya. But she dreamt big. Kaya, wise decision din naman na inilayo na namin siya sa limelight. And led a normal life.

“Ang inkling sa movies was when she got hooked to idolize the figures sa Disney movies. Mga heroic stories. And she grew up to be an independent and strong-willed woman. 

“Me and Robin are proud of what she does today. Kami naman ni Robin have remained to be very good friends. And I thank Marielle for the support she gives to Camille as well. Yeah, we see each other when we get the chance to visit. 

“She is the Director for a Telemedicine Skincare and wellness site. Where she helps redefine beauty standards and build a community for women to share the stories and journeys to self-love. After-hours and weekends, she runs a content marketing consultation agency, Strategy in Stilettos, where she helps fellow entrepreneurs (whether established or growing) to build their brands and achieve financial freedom and independence. She does a lot of Data Analytics. She heads marketing for one of the largest distributors of top skin care products and Latisse. 

“I believe, what still holds true with what she shared in that article was that she wanted to be a hero. Gusto maging sasakyan. Would you believe, she wanted to be a “fire truck”. Now, she still is a hero in her own terms. With the purpose and mission of helping other women through stories and community.

“Ito na ang mas gusto niya gawin now. Hindi niya raw ipagpapalit ito. Even if there are more lucrative jobs out there.

Ang nasabing greeting ang naging highlight ng kaarawan ni Camille. Na kahit pa 30 years old na, pagdating pa rin sa pagiging anak ng ama eh, tila batang paslit pa!

Anim ng lahat ang supling ng maganda at sexy pa ring si Leah. At masaya na sa buhay nila sa California. Kinabukasan, matapos ang Emo themed birthday ni Camille, they went boating in some lake!
