INATASAN ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-MEID) ang Department of Tourism (DOT) na maglaan ng hotel rooms para sa frontliners na lumalaban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) sa bansa.
“Naatasan ng inter-agency ang Tourism department na magbigay ng hotel rooms kung saan puwedeng tumira ang ating health workers, ang ating frontliners. Napakaliit na bagay naman ito na ibibigay natin sa frontliners dahil sa kanilang sakripisyo,” ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa press briefing.
Samantala, hindi na tatanggapin ng logistics firm 2Go Group, Inc., ang P35-milyong upa ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) para sa paggamit ng dalawa nilang barko bilang quarantine facilities sa mga COVID-19 patients.
“To set the record straight, actual cost to operate the two vessels as quarantine facilities is at P260 million. But this was intended to be a donation.
