Manila, Philippines – A new year has arrived, and with it comes a flurry of big events in the live entertainment scene. This 2019, the Mall of Asia Arena is expected to host a variety of new events, from concerts of well-known local and international acts, to historical events and exciting sports games.
The first two months of the year saw the arrival of much-awaited acts and events at the Mall of Asia Arena, starting with K-Pop Superstars Seungri and Blackpink; The 47th Miss Intercontinental which crowned the Philippines’ first winner, Karen Gallman;
Sports games of PBA, UAAP, and ONE Championship; a fan-meet with Korean Actor Park Hyung Sik; the concert of Josh Groban with his special guest, Lea Salonga; and Maroon 5’s come back to Manila last March 5.
In the coming months, the Mall of Asia Arena is gearing up for more exciting events: The first Brave 22 Event in Asia happens on March 15; SM-NBTC Nationals commences on March 18 to 24; Park Bogum visits for his Asia Tour on April 27; Troye Sivan makes way for his Bloom Tour on May 1; Jason Mraz comes in May 8; LANY holds the first 3-day concert for an international act on July 23, 24, and 25; and The 1975 plays in Manila for the 4th time on September 11.
With all these new events for 2019, the Arena is expected to receive countless visitors. As a venue that prepares to host a variety of events, Mall of Asia Arena gives some quick tips on what a visitor needs to know before their visit to the venue.
Getting There
Located at the heart of the Mall of Asia Complex, MOA Arena is nestled between the streets of Marina, Coral Way, Pacific Drive, and J.W. Diokno Boulevard. Being right next to the main mall, one can take several routes if you’re coming from either North or South of Manila – either through Edsa, or with the new NAIA Express Way.
Parking spaces are available at either the south side of Mall of Asia, or the nearby MAAX Building across the venue.
Commuting to the venue is also easy with the MRT (Blue Line) conveniently located near the Mall of Asia Complex, and some GT Express shuttles coming from the south directly dropping passengers to the Main Mall.
Entering the Venue
The Mall of Asia Arena opens its gates to the public one to two (1-2) hours prior to the start of any event. All ticketholders who enter the premise are requested to voluntarily submit themselves to our security checks. Re-entry is not allowed in the interest of public safety and security.
In the interest of everyone’s safety, several items are not allowed inside the Mall of Asia Arena. Large bags, weapons, prohibited substances, sharp objects and other items will be asked to be surrendered at the gates. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and all other items that can or cannot be brought inside the Arena can be viewed at the venue’s website (www.mallofasia-arena.com), or through official announcements given over the social media pages (@moaarena).
Inside the Venue
Each floor of the venue is dedicated to a specific seating sections according to ticket type. Way finders and signages can be used as reference to navigate around the venue. Arena ushers are also present outside and inside the venue for anyone who will need special assistance.
A variety of food and drinks are available inside the Mall of Asia Arena. Snacktime, the in-house food provider of the Mall of Asia Arena, is available at all floors of the venue. Products of Snacktime are made fresh every event, and is specially crafted by Snacktime’s in-house chef.
Food brands like Auntie Anne’s, Wendy’s, Banh Mi Kitchen, Go Salads, Cold Stone, Pitstop by Yellowcab, Turks, Jamaican Patties, Bronco Billy are also present inside the venue to provide a wide array of choices for everyone.
