“Ako sa ‘Binibining Pilipinas,’ I always advise the girls that you shouldn’t join pageants just for the sake of winning and getting a crown or getting famous. Parang there should be a reason why you’re doing something like this.
“It’s a stepping stone to something more.
“It’s either, if you have an advocacy, you wanna be a voice about something, you wanna stand up for something then use that voice.
“Or if you wanna pursue a career in showbusiness then be a good actress, be a great actress, ‘di ba?
“So parang being a beauty queen opens a lot of doors for you and for me it has changed my life like I never imagined na magkakaroon ako ng ganitong klaseng buhay and thanks to being a beauty queen, and I owe it to ‘Binibining Pilipinas’ and to ‘Miss Universe’ for giving me that confidence.
“Sabi ko nga, ganoon pala ‘yun, na parang hindi lang as a beauty queen, in everything that you do, you have to be confident pala, like even though you feel inadequate but whenever you pursue something parang lagi kang dapat, ikaw pa lang mismo confident ka na.
