SOBRANG na-challenge si Vince Tañada, head of the Philippines Stagers Foundation, sa paggawa ng #Pope-pular, a musical about a Pinoy Pope.
“When we started rehearsing after I finish writing the play, I work up around 3 o’clock in the morning full of sweat. No nightmare, I just work up. The following day I woke up with a nightmare, that somebody was chasing after me, a person who is naked but with a red body. When I look up the clock it was three ‘o clock in the morning. It was a Sunday and I went to the church. I attended a mass,” kuwento ni Vince.
Nag-stay siya kahit tapos na ang misa and asked, “Lord, bakit nangyayari sa akin ito? Bakit ako nagigising, nananaginip ng 3 o’clock?’ You know, the 3 o’clock in the morning is the hour of evil, so to speak. I prayed hard and I said, ‘Now, I know Lord. Maybe the forces of evil are aware that I will be doing a play that might result to a conversion of several youth to go back to the church. And I said, I accept the challenge and I will do the play with this objective.
“After that mass, I went here to the studio and started rehearsing. And the nightmare was gone,” he shared.
Itatampok sa #Pope-Pular ang inspiring lives nina Joey Velasco, a Pinoy painter; Kristel Mae Padasas, the Pinay volunteer who died after a scaffolding dropped on her; Dr. Edgardo Gomez, a scientist who protects coral reefs; Ronald Gadayan, an honest janitor who returned P18-M cash and jewelry; and PO1 Mark Lory Clemencio, SAF member who was killed in the Mamasapano encounter.
