LUMIKHA ang isang Ukrainian artist ng serye ng magagarbong weddeing dresses na yari sa papel. Pinag-aralan ni Asya Kozina ang ancient sketches ng traditional Mongolian wedding dresses at ginamit ang kanyang pattern cutting skills sa pagdesinyo ng kahanga-hangang mga damit pangkasal.
Pinag-ibayo niya ang kanyang hilig sa paggawa ng paper art habang nag-aaral ng desinyo sa University of Cherkassy makaraan magkaroon ng pinsala na nagresulta sa pagkabigo niya sa kanyang pangarap na maging professional dancer.
“The idea for this project came from my fascination by Mongolian wedding costumes,” paliwanag niya.
“They are very extravagant and futuristic. I wanted to create my own version of these outfits and I felt the white paper emphasised their shape.”
Kasama ni Ms. Kozina sa nasabing proyekto ang photographer na si Anastasia Andreeva, at ipinasuot ang designs sa mga modelo.
“We encountered some difficulties as the models were unable to sit down throughout the shoot which took around five hours and if any parts of the paper crumpled it is impossible to restore the dress, so we had to be careful,” aniya. (ORANGE QUIRKY NEWS)
