Probe vs Abaya, ex-MRT chief iniutos ng Ombudsman

INIUTOS ng Office of the Ombudsman na imbestigahan sina Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) Sec. Jun Abaya, dating Metro Rail Transit (MRT) chief Al Vitangcol III at 19 iba pa kaugnay sa maanomalyang maintenance contract ng MRT.

Maaaring makasuhan ng paglabag sa Section 3(e) ng Republic Act (RA) No. 3019 o Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act sina Abaya, Vitangcol, mga miyembro ng DoTC Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) na sina Undersecretary Jose Perpetuo Lotilla, Undersecretary Rene Limcaoco, Undersecretary Rafael Antonio Santos, Assistant Secretary Ildefonso Patdu, Assistant Secretary Dante Lantin, at LRTA Administrator Honorito Chaneco. Kasamang iimbestigahan ang mga miyembro ng negotiating team na sina Misael Narca, Engr. Joel Magbanua, Arnel Manresa, Natividad Sansolis, Engr. Gina Rodriguez, Eugene Cecilio, Engr. Raphael Lavides at Atty. Geronimo Quintos pati ang mga kinatawan ng Philippine Trans Rail Management and Services Corporation-Comm Builders and Technology Philippines Corporation (PH Trams – CB&T) na sina Wilson De Vera, Arturo Soriano, Marlo Dela Cruz, Manolo Maralit at Federico Remo.

Hiwalay pang haharapin nina Vitangcol at ilan sa kinatawan ng PH Trams-CB&T na sina Soriano, Dela Cruz, Maralit at Remo ang paglabag sa Sections 3(e) at 3(h) ng RA No. 3019 at Section 65(c)(1) ng RA 9184. (HNT)
