Pamunuan ng EAC makikialam na sa mga manlalaro

NANGAKO kahapon ang pamunuan ng Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) na iimbestigahan nito ang mga problemang nangyayari sa koponang kasali sa Season 90 ng NCAA men’s basketball.

Sa isang statement na inilabas kahapon sa media, sinabi ng vice president for external affairs ng kolehiyo na si Joseph Noel Estrada na kakausapin niya ang mga manlalaro ng Generals tungkol sa diumano’y pagputol ng food at beverage allowances nila mula pa noong Hulyo.

“EAC has always provided the needs of its players even with limited resources,” wika ni Estrada. “We are still in the process of looking into the veracity of these complaints. And I don’t want to provide premature comments until we have come into full evaluation of the overall management of the team for this season.”

Sa ngayon ay nasa ilalim ng team standings ang EAC sa NCAA na may apat na panalo kontra sa 12 na pagkatalo.

At ang masaklap pa, anim na manlalaro ng Generals ay sinuspinde ng liga dahil sa nangyaring suntukan sa laro nila kontra Mapua Institute of Technology noong Lunes.

Ang pinakamahabang suspensiyon ay ipinataw kay John Tayongtong na tatagal ng limang laro.

Sa ngayon ay probationary member ang EAC sa NCAA dahil noong 2009 ito pumasok sa liga kasama ang Arellano University.

Nangako rin si Estrada na gagawa ng sariling imbestigasyon ang EAC tungkol sa insidente.

“There is no excuse for violent behavior and EAC will conduct its own investigation of the incident and eventually impose sanctions to its players involved. “We thought we could have done better this season, but we will try to bounce back and try to be a better EAC team next year,” ani Estrada.
