Cashless transaction isinulong ni PNoy

MAGIGING “cashless” na ang mga transaksyon sa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan upang maiwasan ang korupsyon.

Pinangunahan kahapon ni Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III ang paglulunsad ng Cashless Purchase Card (CPC) Program sa ginanap na Good Governance Summit sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Sa kanyang talumpati, inihayag ng Pangulo na sa bagong sistema, imbes na cash, ay card ang gagamitin ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno sa pagbili ng government supplies.

“Cashless purchase cards will be issued to agencies, for low-value payments of a restricted number and type of goods and services. They will resemble ordinary credit cards, but will have additional restrictions more suited to the needs of government,” aniya.

Sa ganitong sistema aniya ay maiiwasan ang pagwawaldas sa pera ng bayan , dahil walang malaking halagang hahawakan ang isang tanggapan ng pamahalaan.

“A limited number of cards will be distributed to these agencies, with allowable purchases likewise limited to medical supplies, meals, the transportation of official documents, airline tickets and construction supplies for minor repairs,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.

Unang susubok sa CPC ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of National Defense (DND) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at inaasahang bago matapos ang 2014 ay magiging 100% checkless at 80% cashless na ang lahat ng transaksyon sa gobyerno.
