ON television, there are sad realities like time constraints to deal with.
Sa isang showbiz talk show halimbawa, hindi lahat ng mga feature stories which are plugged in the beginning get aired anywhere in the program. And the culprit: kakapusan sa oras.
Ito ang eksaktong sinapit ng isang kuwento ng Startalk about three Saturdays ago tungkol sa kauna-unahang pagpapakasal ng premyadong aktres na si Chanda Romero. At 59 came the Cebuana actress’s chance to enjoy her marriage sa isang lalaking hindi naman nalalayo sa kanyang edad.
Inalmahan ‘yon ni Rams David who arranged the sit-down interview with the couple.
Inaabangan din kasi ‘yon ng newlyweds.
Came the following Saturday, again, due to time constraints ay hindi na naman umere ang kuwento kahit pa bugbog-sarado ito sa plug. This time though, no more complaint arose from Rams David’s camp.
Sa halip na muling ireklamo ang ‘di nito pagpapalabas noong December 7 episode ngStartalk, the program staff was advised never to air it. Ang dahilan: Chanda’s wedding to her man was not welcomed by the latter’s family.
In short, ayaw umano ng pamilya ng lalaki sa aktres!
Tanong lang namin, ano bang diperensiya mayroon si Chanda to deserve non-recognition by her in-laws? Dahil ba taga-showbiz siya? Is it because of Chanda’s sexy image noong nagsisimula pa lang umukit ng pangalan sa mundong pinili niya? Malaki ba ang agwat ng antas ng lalaki sa estado ng aktres?
Whatever, the guy must be way of age who can decide on his own without the intervention of his condescending family. Eh, sa ‘yun ang pinakasalan ng kanilang kadugo, must they argue with love?
