The new Intelligence and Enforcement chief of Bureau of Customs former Armed Forces chief of staff JESSIE DELLOSA formally assume his post yesterday, Monday, October 07, during the BoC FLAG CEREMONY.
In his first message sa BoC rank & file employees that his first task is to run after the smugglers.
Welcome Sir Jessie, sana naman maraming pagbabago ang maipatupad n’yo dahil marami ang umaasa sa inyo. MABUHAY po kayo and good luck.
The Bureau of Customs and the Bureau of Internal Revenue is doing everything in their power now to enforce the law that can ensure reforms in the bureau.
BoC commissioner Ruffy Biazon issued several memorandum against persons of inte-rest and other offices, task force to be abolish including those person in authority na matagal nang inirereklamo ng Port users.
Hindi lang ‘yan, the order of RELINQUISMENT among Port District Collectors, that they must resigned to their current post as part of the reform program within the Bureau and they will be reassigned to other post.
But instead they are now placed in a floating status na ikinagulat nila nang biglang nagpalabas ng Executive Order 139 signed and approved by the President. Binibigyan ng full authority ang Department of Finance under Sec. Cesar Purisima to make the necessary steps to implement reforms at the Bureau of Customs in REVENUE, REASSIGNMENTS, DESIGNATIONS and Operations. The OPTION that I can see para sa mga Collector 5 and 6 is to stay put, or apply for an early retirement or resign, the option of applying a TRO is just prolonging their agony.
But still they have the right sa due process of the law kaya nag-apply sila ng TRO.
Lets wait & see na lang kung sino ang magtatagumpay sa bandang huli.
