Unang PAFTA dinaluhan ng mga sikat na artista

STAR-STUDDED  ang katatapos na 1st Philippine Arts, Film & Television Awards  (PAFTA) na ginanap noong February 21 sa Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel, na nagsilbing hosts sina Ara Mina at Gelo Buencamino.

Dumalo sina Coco Martin, Marian Rivera, Martin  Nievera, Andres  Muhlach, Kai Montinola, Matt Lozano, Ian de Leon, Sussy Entrata atbp..

Ang PAFTA ay binubuo nina  Dr.Billy James Uy  (Chairman of the Board), Teresita TolentinoPambuan ( President & Founder), Christina U. Aliada (Executive Vice President ), Charlemagne Arceta (Vice President), Atty. Jocelyn Reyala (Corporate Secretary), Jenalyn Aliada (Secretary), Rafy Gellang (Treasurer), Edward Ralph Santos (Auditor), at Nico Lizardo  (PRO).

Misyon ng PAFTA ay igawad ang kahusayan, kilalanin ang individual distinction at isulong ang malikhain at kultural na buhay ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagdiriwang ng natatanging tagumpay sa pelikula, telebisyon, teatro, modeling at performing arts. Kinikilala rin ng PAFTA ang makabuluhang kontribusyon sa pamumuno sa kultura, serbisyo publiko, at pagkakawanggawa. Pinararangalan din ang mga indibidwal at institusyon na ang trabaho ay nagpapasigla sa mga komunidad at nagpapalakas sa bansa.

Pinangunahan nina Judy Ann Santos, Andres Muhlach, at Coco Martin ang mga gagawaran ng pagkilala sa telebisyon. Itinanghal na Best Station ang GMA 7; Best Morning Show ang Unang Hirit; Bst Noontime Show ang It’s Showtime; Best News Program ang 24 Oras; Best Documentary Program ang  I-Witness; Best Reality Show ang Pinoy Big Brother 2.0; Best Drama Series ang FPJ Batang Quiapo; Best Comedy Show,  Bubble Gang; Best Drama Anthology, Magpakailanman; Best Variety Show, ASAP; Best Celebrity Talk Show, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda; Best Drama Actor Coco Martin(Batang Quiapo); Bes Drama Actress, Carla Abellana (Widows War); Best Male TV Host, Dingdong Dantes (Family Feud); Best Female TV Host, Anne Curtis (It’s Showtime); AGENDA-Excellence in Business News Awards; Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Journalism Lifetime Achievement Award; PAFTA Iconic Film Performance Award Judy Ann Santos; Breakthrough Performance Award Maris Racal;  PAFTA Youth Icon Award Andres Muhlach; at PAFTA Youth Icon Award Kai Montinola.

Ang mga nanalo naman sa larangan ng pelikula ay sina—Best Director Gabby Ramos (When Magic Hurts); Best Actress Marian Rivera and Rebecca Chuaunsu; Best Actor Dennis Trillo ( Green Bones); Best Supporting Actress, Gabby Padilla (Uninvited); Best Supporting Actor, Will Ashley(Balota), Best Child Actor, Enzo Osorio;  Best Child Actress Elia Ilano; Breakthrough Performance Euwenn Mikaell;  Most Promising Star, Kian Co;  Best Film, Balota; Best Screenplay, Anj Atienza and Ricky Lee; Best Cinematography, Neil Daza (Green Bones); Best Production Design, Jed Sicanggco and Jerann Ordinario (Outside), Best Editing, The Hearing; Best Visual Effects,  Espantaho; Best Original Story, Her Locket; Best Sound, Narra Post Production by Sound (Balota); Best Original Theme Song, Guilty Pleasure (Luha sa Dilim by Yanco). Best Short film- As The Moth Flies; Best Documentary Film Awrad-No Man Left Behind.

Ang mga Special Awards ay ang mga sumusunod: Icon of Philippine Cinema-Vilma Santos; Philippine  Box Office star-Kathryn Bernardo; Philippine Box Office Star- Alden Richards; Special Citation Award for Global Cultural Excellence-SB19; Posthumous Award-Ms. Gloria Romero at Ms.Nora Aunor;Fashion  Icon Awards- Heart  Evangelista at Pia Wurtzbach.

 Sa Teatro binigyang pagkilala rin si Jhett Tolentino bilang Global Excellence in Theater & Film Production Award; Walang Aray, Excellence  in Contemporary Theater Award; One More Chance, Excellence in Musical Theater Award.
