GRAND finals na ngayong Sabado, April 12 ng Time To Dance, ang dance survival reality show ng ABS-CBN na ang host ay si Gela Atayde with Robi Domingo, produced ng Nathan Studios ng pamilya Atayde.
Ang mananalo, tiyak na bukod sa cash prize, ay sisikat bilang isang dancer at mababago ang simpleng pamumuhay.
Tinanong namin si Gela, na tinaguriang New Gen Dance Champ, kung ano ang feeling na sa pagtatapos ng kanilang show ay may matutulungan sila na mas gumanda pa ang buhay, siyempre, ang tatanghaling winner ng Time To Dance.
“I think that the winner po kasi, honestly wala po kaming masyadong ma-offer aside from the cash prize because they’re all are part of different dance groups already.
“They have their own paths na po and careers in dance so hindi po namin, siyempre ayaw po naming baliin iyon from them.
“Although we have stuff that we’re offering eventually to them, we’re working on it na po, aside from the cash prize kasi of course we want to be able to give them more than that.
“And also I guess, how I feel? Sobrang proud po, nakaka-proud lang that I’m able to give back to the dance community talaga because in the first place when I entered the industry iyon po talaga ‘yung goal ko, eh.
“Like to introduce dance into the scene, into the commercial scene.
“Even though it’s a lot different from how we work, iba po ‘yung pagtatrabaho as a competitive dancer as compared to working in showbiz po as a dancer, it’s very different.
“But I do have respect for both and I think that what makes me really happy is that mas binibigyan na ng stage and mas hinaharap na po ‘yung mga dancer now.
“So iyon po. Kasi usually we’re just at the back of the singers, but then now there’s segments in ‘ASAP’ that is solely for dance.
“And in events now they don’t just get singers they also get dancers na rin, so iyon po,” pahayag ni Gela.
