BALIK-SHOWBIZ ang actress/beauty queen na si Kelley Day.
Si Kelley ay dating GMA artist at naging member ng GirlTrends. Siya ay nanalong Miss Eco Philippines 2019. Ang dalaga ang itinanghal na Miss Eco International First Runner Up noong 2021.
Siya ay kabilang din sa new talents ni Ms. Len Carrillo ng 3:16 Media Network.
Sa panayam ng grupo ng media kay Kelley, nilinaw ng magandang aktres na walang katotohanan ang tsismis nang pag-link sa kanya kay Tom Rodriguez. Na umano’y siya raw ang third party sa hiwalayang Tom at Carla Abellana.
Paliwanag ni Kelley, “Hindi totoo na ako ang dahilan sa hiwalayan nina Tom and Carla. Tom is not my type. It started like this: This was so random kasi nasa funeral ako ng lola ko sa UK (United Kingdom). Then hindi ko alam na sa TikTok, nag-viral na pala ang isyu na nali-link ako kay Tom dahil sa blind item ni Cristy Fermin.
“That time, hindi ko kilala si Cristy pero I heard na may reputation siya…
Anyway, there was no other person that fits the blind item but me. I did my statement kasi nga, marami ang nag-message sa akin for interview and I didn’t do any interview because I knew that the truth will always prevail.”
Pagpapatuloy ni Kelley, “Eventually pumayag ako when I got back sa Philippines. My boyfriend was laughing hard kasi alam niya na hindi totoo.
“Si Tom, kasama ko sa isang GMA series pero most of my scenes, ang kasama ko si Alden (Richards). Sa totoo lang, Tom reached out to me and said sorry. Sabi niya, sorry we can’t defend you publicly.”
Nabanggit din ni Kelley na noong ni-link siya kay Tom ay may boyfriend siya, na hanggang ngayon ay BF pa rin niya at supportive daw lagi sa kanya ang nasabing karelasyon.
Ayon pa kay Kelley, although guwapo si Tom, hindi raw niya type ang actor. “I dont think na papasa si Tom sa akin. I guess iba ang type ko. He’s not really my type. Si Tom is a good looking guy but my type is different. Usually shorter guys.
“I mean, Tom is hot, but I am more attracted sa mga cute guys,” paliwanag pa niya.
Vindicated nga si Kelley sa intrigang ito, na kahit walang kamalay-malay ay naging biktima siya.
Bulalas pa ni Kelley,“The truth always prevails. But that time, no one stood up for me. In terms of si Tom or Carla or ‘yung representatives nila.”
Ngayon ay okay naman daw sila nina Carla at Tom, in fact, nagbatian pa sila ng aktres nang magkita sila sa isang event.
“I met Carla in an event a few months ago. I was hosting a pageant, tapos siya ‘iyong isa sa judge, so we made like salubong in the doorway and then I said, ‘Hi, ate Carla, I just want to let you know that I didn’t have anything to do with Tom.’ And she just apologized that I got involved in terms of the rumor, but she knows that I didn’t have any part to it,” sambit niya.
Naikuwento rin dito ni Kelley na kaya siya tumigil sa showbiz ay dahil nagkaroon nang matinding karamdaman ang kanyang British dad at nang nag-start na siyang maka-recover, biglang hinimatay si Kelley sa room ng dad niya.
Nagkaroon pala siya ng panic disorder and adjustment disorder.
Aniya, ” “It took me like a year and a half. I did not go out for 10 months. I couldn’t drive. I couldn’t go to the mall. I was locked down for myself for like almost one year.”
“After 10 months, I did my first driving na 3-minute drive. When I was successful with that, I started crying kasi I was so happy kasi akala ko noong time na ‘yun that I will never be able to drive or go out. I was so scared talaga to go anywhere.”
Sa naturang panayaman, nabanggit ni Kelley na posible siyang sumali ulit sa beauty pageant at planong sumabak sa pelikula at teleserye.
Aniya, “27 years old na ako, puwede pa ako sa Binibini… With my new management, 3:16 media production under Mama Len Carrillo, we plan to venture into movies and do some teleserye again. Because I really enjoyed that at a time,” ani Kelley.
