NOMINATED si Ally Gonzales sa gaganaping 15th Star Awards for Music ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC). Ito’y para sa New Female Recording Artist of the Year category sa kanyang kantang Ating Kabanata mula Vehnee Saturno Music Corporation.
Labis ang pasasalamat ng magandang singer sa pagkilalang ito. Masayang wika ni Ally, “Sobrang surprised po… very thankful and honored din at the same time po kasi a new singer like me was nominated. Very happy din ako po because ang song na Ating Kabanata was dedicated to my dad.”
Si Ally ay anak ng former actor na si Allyson VII, kay Ms. Josh. Isa ang namayapang aktor sa mga talent ni Direk Maryo J. delos Reyes
Inusisa namin si Ally kung paano ide-describe ang song na ito?
Aniya, “I describe the song po as heartfelt, Kabanata has a lot of meanings, it means “chapter” and the song can be about the chapter of our life. It can be a love song, a song about losing someone, because love is universal, and where there is love, there is an end for all good things. Sometimes its best to let the chapter finish and start a new one.”
Sinabi pa ni Ally na idini-dedicate niya ang kantang ito sa kanyang dad.
“Ating Kabanata was originally for my dad because I was given two song options; an upbeat one and an emotional song.
“The song Ating Kabanata was hard for me to learn before because I have never fallen in love before. So after my dad died, I learned that the song isn’t just a song for the end of a love of a partner, but it could also be the end of good things.
“Much like the song, I too started questioning myself over why it had to be this way and I realized upon taking the song Ating Kabanata, because my dad liked it before his passing, that sometimes good things have to end.
“The song itself can help heal others who went through a break up, lost a loved one, missed their old friendships like how I did. I dedicate this song for my dad Allyson VII,” mahabang pahayag pa ni Ally.
Ang latest single ni Ally ay ang Gusto Kita, na ka-duet niya rito ang Kapuso actor na si Kelvin Miranda.
