NAIBAHAGI ni Markki Stroem sa digital media conference ng Love at the End of the World na nagka-trauma siya dulot ng kanyang personality disorder.
Kasabay nito ang pagkakaroon din niya ng Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder o ADHD pero naging positibo ang pananaw niya rito sa halip na maging hadlang sa kanyang trabaho o interes. Ginawa niyang productive ang sarili tulad ng kabia-kabilang pagtatrabaho.
“Na-trauma rin kasi ako dati, and after so many years of experience, it has become so much easier now to memorize things.
“I’ve only realized this recently when I did ‘All-Out Sundays’ (weekly variety show ng GMA). I had to do musical on the spot so kailangan aralin ‘yung mga song, ‘yung steps, ‘yung scenes in one day.
“Three episodes ‘yun, and noong nagawa ko ‘yun, sabi ko, ‘Parang kaya ko ito. Parang kaya ko ito in the long run na gawin.’ Kaya ko uling gumanap sa teleserye. Kaya kong bumalik sa movies. At the end of the day, ADHD became my super power.
“My ADHD was such a detriment sa akin dati. Nahirapan talaga akong mag-memorize ng lines, mag-focus.
“Pero dahil love ko ang ginagawa ko nalabanan ko. Siguro dapat ganito rin ang iba especially sa lahat ng mga ADHD people who were suffering, people in the spectrum who have the problem of lack of focus, it’s something that you can train on a regular basis,” mahabang paliwanag ni Markki.
“Sometimes you see ADHD as something that would be a detriment to you but if you look at some of your downfalls and some of your strengths, you can use it to your advantage,” sabi pa ni Markki.
Ito ang dahilan ani Markki kaya hindi nagtatagal ang pakikipagrelasyon niya.“Disadvantages of ADHD is mahirap mag-focus. Palagi akong naglalakad back and forth. Parang iniisip ng mga tao, bakit ko ginagawa ‘yun?
“Nahihirapan din akong magkaroon ng long-term and long lasting inter-personal relationships, minsan if I get pushed against the wall. It’s part of the spectrum, the autism spectrum, and some I learned from watching a series recently.
“Trying to deal with people is harder for me,” pag-amin pa ni Markki dahil mabilis daw siyang sumabog.
“Ang positive traits of having ADHD, obviously, is kaya kong gawin lahat from morning to evening!” sambit pa ng aktor.
Samantala, ang Love at the End of the World na pinagbibidahan ni Markki ay isang Boys Love erotic suspense drama series na tatalakay sa apat na magdyowa habang naglalakbay sila sa love, pain, loss, romance, forgiveness, redemption, loneliness, at sorrow.
