APAT na pelikula, isang film project, at 10 production companies ang magsasama-sama para maging representative ng Philippine Cinema sa 25th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) na gaganapin sa South Korea.
Ang Death of Nintendo ni Raya Martin, Cleaners ni Karl Glenn Barit, How to Die Young in Manila ni Petersen Vargas, at Kids on Fire ni Kyle Nieva ay parte naman ng BIFF Official Selection.
Ang 6th Finger ni Sheron Dayoc ang bukod-tanging Filipino project sa Busan ngayon taon samantalang ang 10 production companies ay magiging parte ng Philippine Pavilion na pamumunuan ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Ang FDCP ay siya ring organizer ng Philippine Cinema Night at sponsor ng webinar na Screen Talk: Asian Production Bounces Back tampok si FDCP Chairperson at CEO Liza Diño bilang isa sa mga speaker.
“The Busan International Film Festival has been a crucial platform for the global track of the Filipino film industry. This year, the FDCP continues to be one with the BIFF in promoting Asian Cinema especially amid the COVID-19 crisis,” ani Diño.
Ang BIFF, na nagsimula na noong October 21 at magtatapos sa Oct. 30 ay mayroon lamang limited film screenings sa Busan samantalang ang ibang programa at event ay isinasagawa na online.
