Mother Lily nagpaliwang, ‘di raw siya against sa indie movie

TULAD ng Star Cinema, maaga na ring ipalalabas ang Chinoy Mano Po 7 movie ng Regal Entertainment dahil mapapanood na ito Disyembre 14.

Hindi rin napasama ang Mano Po 7 sa 2016 MMFF at ang pahayag ni Mother Lily Monteverde tungkol sa hindi pagpili ng screening committee.

“Of course, I feel so sad. When I heard about it, talagang umiyak ako. Quietly, I cried. Talagang it’s there already. Wala na tayong ano (magagawa),” ani Mother Lily.

Naikuwento rin ng Regal producer na muntik daw mapasama ang pelikula niya dahil pang number 9 daw at nagkaroon nga raw ng labanan sa pelikula niya at sa number 8 slot na mas pinili ng screening committee.

”It’s sayang. After this year, next year’s festival, sana they’ll understand. It’s not that I’m teaching them, it’s something that all this poor people like C, D, E (crowd), like ‘yung mga carpenter, mga tao that they belong to this level of C, D, E, mayroon silang bonus.

“Once they get their bonus, they bring the whole family to the movies to watch the GP (General Patronage). Kasi sayang lang, nanghinayang ako sa mga bata. This is a family movie.

“But anyway, let’s hope next year, entire system should be changed,” paliwanag pa.

At dahil karamihan sa mga napiling walong pelikula na ipalalabas sa MMFF ay indi films ay nilinaw ni Mother Lily na hindi siya against sa mga ito.

“I don’t think against indie movies because I was the original (producer of indie films) like Lav Diaz, Jeffrey Jeturian, lahat sila. We also had a festival. You still remember?” paliwanag pa ng lady producer.

Dagdag pa, “you know, there is a time for the indie movies but not Christmas season. Christmas is for the family.”

Mapapanood na ang Chinoy Mano Po 7 sa December 14, 11 days bago ang MMFF 2016 at posibleng ibalik ito ng Enero 8 pagkatapos ng festival dahil tiyak na marami pa rin ang gustong mapanood ito.

Ang pelikulang Chinoy Mano Po 7 ay pangungunahan nina Richard Yap, Jean Garcia, Jessy Mendiola, Enchong Dee, Jake Cuenca, Janella Salvador, Kean Cipriano, at Jana Agoncillo. Ang Chinoy Mano Po 7 mula sa direksiyon ni Ian Lorenos.
