Kiana, mas gustong maging MTV VJ kaysa mag-artista

ISA na si Kiana Valenciano sa roster of talents ng Viva Artist Agency na pinamamahalaan nina boss Vic del Rosario at anak nitong si Veronique Corpusdahil pumirma na siya ng 2-year contract kamakailan.

Ayon sa nag-iisang anak na babae nina Gary Valenciano at Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, gusto niyang maging MTV VJ at hindi para mag-artista.

“I’m so excited for ‘MTV’. My idol before, siyempre si ate Donita (Rose) MTV VJ siya, and as a kid, ginagaya ko ‘yung the way she would talk, the way she would do her hair. So now, at least, parang goal achieved na magiging VJ din ako,” saad ni Kiana.

Sa edad na 15 ay inaalok na noon na mag-artista si Kiana, pero tumanggi siya.

“It’s a decision that we made together (family) na ‘wag munang mag-artista at that age kasi, there’s so many things I experienced at that age na hindi ko ma-experience kung nag-showbiz ako.

“You know, I was able to hang out with friends like in a gotohan, porkchop house, mga ganoon. As I’m going into a sari-sari store with my friends.

“And I don’t think, I would be ready at that time. ‘Yung mga ganitong questions hindi ko masasagot siguro at 15, baka I would lost siguro,” paliwanag nito.

Kung ngayon daw siya aalukin muli, ”I think, I have to pray muna about that and then would see na lang.  But I just can’t turn my head and say no because that’s a good opportunity, but I kind the wanna do my own thing first like I wanna make my own music and make a mark first.”

Mas type ni Kiana na maging singer tulad ng amang si Gary V.

Ayaw bang sumali ni Kiana sa Girl band tulad ng mama Angeli niya na rating miyembro ng Music and Magic na nakilala sina Nonoy Mendoza, Jet Montelibano, Vicky Sevilla-Pangilinan, Jeanette Casuga, Bobby Taylo, Butch Elizalde, Fe de los Reyes, Eva Caparas, Hector Pedero, Toto Gentica, at Kuh Ledesma?

Mabilis na sagot ng dalaga, ”I don’t think I’m into band type. I would love a theme like that but I prefer solo, yeah, solo.”

Wala namang masabi si Angeli sa pahayag ng anak lalo’t biniro pa naming, ‘ayaw niyang sundan ang yapak mo.”

Hiningan naman ng komento si Kiana tungkol sa pinagdaraanan ngayon ng kuya Gab Valenciano niya at asawang si Tricia Centenera na base sa panayam ng nito sa PEP ay humingi na ng tawad ang asawa sa pangangaliwa nito.

“He knows that I’m here for him. I’ve told him that. I’ve let him know that I pray for him, and you know, people make mistakes naman kasi talaga, ‘di ba?

“I think that he’s just right now, doing the best that he can to make things right and all I can do talaga is just pray for him and hope that this eventually gets better for both of them.

“I mean, it’s in my heart, I hope they fix things and work things out but only time will tell,” say ni Kiana.

Paliwanag naman ni Angeli na sinabihan daw nila ni Gary ang anak na huwag magsasalita maski na anong mangyari.

“Because men are not supposed to talk. I mean, you have to treat ladies as ladies. She (Tricia) can say what she wants, she’s entitled to her feelings and opinions and today, the millenials, and they use social media as a diary, right?

“So sometimes, the media loves it because there’s so much contents that you can put out. But sometimes, they abuse it, because sometimes, you show your imperfection, as a human being through your social media posts because that’s all you knew, all your probably adult life because you grew up with social media.

“You know what I mean, it’s a totally different mindset today. And I’m trying to understand it.

“The only thing I can say is don’t judge. Because for me, Kiana knows this, we’re the most imperfect family in the world. C’mon, I got pregnant. I was in the front page of ‘People’s Tonight’ and I was judged like I was a prostitute.

“So, been there, done that. Mine was a worst case. Because Gary was just starting, and I was like ‘oh my God’. But it does not justify if you make a mistake.

“Gab will talk in his time. But he doesn’t want to talk now and his father just said, ‘be silent,’ and he’s being very quiet about it.

“But I can tell you that there are a lot of tears in his side. And people bash him and bash him and bash him. And one day, they’ll gonna be sorry they bashed him.

“Because God’s not finish with him yet, as He’s not finish with any of us. And if you ask me, when you’re down, there’s no way to go but up,” kuwento ni Angeli.

At base sa tingin ni Angeli na ang dahilan ng gusot ng mag-asawa ay, ”normal naman na nag-aaway ang mag-asawa, at sa case nila (Gab at Tricia), I think more on a cultural differences kasi Australian si Tricia, ‘di ba? So feeling ko may factor na ganoon.”
