Konsehal Tonya Cuneta, nanumpa sa cabeza de barangay

GANAP nang legal na halal na konsehal ng bayan si Tonya Cuneta matapos na siya ay makapanumpa sa harap ng isang barangay captain sa Pasay City.

Ang panunumpa ni Cuneta sa harap ni Chairman Antonio Lacson Trestiza, ng Barangay  153, Zone 16, District 1, ay ginanap sa Tramways Restaurant sa Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, dakong 6:00 ng gabi.

He he he!!! Sigurado masarap ang naging hapunan ni Pareng Tony Agimat sa nasabing restaurant. Eat all you can yata diyan.

Si Cuneta ay nahalal na city councilor sa lungsod ng Pasay noong nakaraang May 9 local at national elections.

Bago siya na-elect na city councilor, si Cuneta ay naglingkod sa Pasay nang ilang taon bilang presidente ng Association of Barangay Captain (ABC). Walang makatalo.

Sa ating Saligang Batas, ang isang nahalal sa electoral exercises ay dapat manumpa sa isang any bonafide local government official bago siya maupo sa kanyang tungkulin. Dapat ay under oath.

Munti LGU calls for volunteers in Brigada Eskwela 2016

THE city government, in partnership with the Schools Division of Muntinlupa, calls for volunteers to join in the National Schools Maintenance (Brigada Eskwela) until June 4.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi encouraged locals to help with the school repair and other maintenance work in ensuring that public school facilities are prepared for the school opening.

The local exec wants to promote the spirit of volunteerism and said that participation in the Brigada Eskwela is not compulsory for parents to enable their children to be accommodated in the schools.

With this year’s theme “Tayo Para sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos at Handa Mula Kindergarten Hanggang Senior High School,” school officials take the lead in planning activities toward making schools disaster-prepared, ecologically conscious, clean and conducive to learning.

Last April, the Schools Division Office lauded elementary and secondary schools with best disaster mitigation, initiatives and strategies. Winners received P20,000- P50,000 worth of DRRM materials and equipment.

The Department of Education will also recognize Brigada Eskwela Best Implementing Schools in the Regional and National Awarding Ceremony on September and November.

All eyes are on the Senior High School program starting this June as the Philippine curriculum shifts to full implementation of K+12 program.

In Muntinlupa, the local government has created school buildings and additional classrooms to accommodate the anticipated increase of student population in public secondary schools.

The four-storey Senior High School Building in Muntinlupa National High School-Main is now in the final phase of construction and will be used in the upcoming academic year. A similar structure is also being erected in Cupang. Fresnedi administration continues to invest in the lives of Muntinlupa residents through education and gives full support to DEPED-Muntinlupa.
