UNCUT – Alex Brosas .
MUKHANG hindi buntis si Shamcey Supsup nang mainterbyu namin kaya naman gulat na gulat kami when she announced na seven weeks na siyang pregnant.
We talked to the beauty queen and her husband Lloyd Peter Lee during the launching ng kanilang resto, ang Pedro ‘N Coi na matatagpuan sa third floor ng Fisher Mall sa Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.
As the pregnancy is bago pa naman, hindi naman nag-e-expect ang couple ng magiging baby nila, kung boy ba or girl.
“Wala naman, kahit ano, boy, girl,” was Shamcey’s reply when asked kung ano ang gusto niyang baby.
Also, wala pa silang napipisil na pangalan ng magiging baby nila.
“Busy kami rito (resto). Kapag alam na namin ang gender then we can start thinking about names,” say ng beauty queen.
Bilang first time businesswoman, na-realize ni Shamcey na, “Mahirap siya but then it’s rewarding. It’s our own business, you have your own time pero at the same time lahat ay sa iyo rin.”
“Kasi Peter po ang second name niya and Coi Coi is my nickname,” paliwanag naman niya kung bakit Pedro ‘N Coi ang name ng kanilang resto.
Napansin namin na Pinoy na Pinoy ang resto.
“We have Tambayan ni Pedro sa baba. Then we have the Sarao jeepney na ang background mo ay old Manila. Upstairs naman, ang tawag namin ay Bahay ni Coi kasi it’s a remake ng bahay ni Shamcey sa GenSan doon sa probinsiya. It’s a mixed bit of urban, ‘yung ano, very barangay at mayroon ka ring bit of the country side,” say naman ni Lloyd.
Classic Filipino dishes like sisig, kaldereta, sinigang ang ilan sa ino-offer ng resto pero may dishes silang bingyan nila ng kakaibang twist.
