Gun ban sa BoC

LAST April 11, 2014, an incident of accidental gun firing occurred at one of the office of a high ranking Bureau of Customs officials at the Port of Manila. Said incident is still under investigation.

Mabuti na lang walang tinamaan na empleyado ng BoC sa kaengotan ng opisyal sa paghawak ng baril.

After that incident, the Customs Commissioner Sunny Sevilla issued a memorandum, on the PROHIBITION on carrying firearms of non-BoC issued and privately owned firearm inside the BoC premises,

This is to ensure the General Safety and security of the transacting public and non-BoC employees within the BoC premises. Especially privately owned firearms with permit to carry outside residence is banned within customs premises.

Only the Customs police who are in “UNIFORM” are allowed to carry their official issued firearm while in the performance of their duty.

Maganda ang ginawa ni Comm. Sevilla para hindi na basta-basta makapagdadala ng BOGA ngayon sa Customs upang maiwasan na ang mga accidental fire na marami na rin ganyan pangyayari sa customs noon.

BoC Depcomm for Intelligence Jess Dellosa, was instructed by the commissioner to fully implement this restriction. Siguro naman matitigil na ang pagdadala ng baril ng mayayabang sa Customs.

Maging aral sana ito sa mga mahilig magbitbit ng baril na Customs official at employees dahil wala naman kayong kaaway ‘di ba? O baka naman may malaking atraso kayo sa brokers/importers at takot kayong bweltahan nila?

Comm. John Sevilla, sana higpitan mo na rin ang mga opisyal na may sangkaterbang bodyguards diyan sa BoC.
