Janine nagluluksa pa rin; nanawagan unahin kalusugan

MALUNGKOT pa rin. Ito ang inamin ni Janine Gutierrez nang kumustahin ito sa mediacon ng pagpapakilala bilang celebrity ambassador ng insular health care na iCare na ginanap sa St. Luke’s Medical Center, Taguig City.

Nagpasalamat si Janine nang kumustahin siya ng kasamahang editor ng isang pahayagan at hindi ikinaila na hanggang ngayon ay nagluluksa pa rin siya sa pagpanaw ng tatlong miyembro ng kanilang pamilya.

Magkasunod na namaalam ang dalawa niyang lola na sina Asia’s Queen of Songs na si Pilita Corrales at National Artist at Superstar Nora Aunor na sinundan ng pagkamatay ng tiyuhing si Ricky Davao na dating asawa ni Jackie Lou Blanco na kapatid ng tatay niyang si Ramon Christopher Gutierrez.

“Siyempre malungkot pa rin. Sobrang nagsabay-sabay, nagsunod-sunod. There are good days and there are bad days. But that’s also a testament to how important family really is.”

“Actually, kinakabahan ako coming here (St. Luke’s Medical Center, BGC). My uncle (Ricky Davao) was confined in the ICU here. Parang medyo fresh pa sa akin,” pag-amin ng aktres.

Aniya pa, “Part of my message, you’ll never really know what’s going to happen, no matter how prepared you think you are. It’s so important to have people to rely on na talagang masasandalan mo.

“So, kung hindi ka okay today, sila ang haharap sa tao. Kung may tanong ka, you can ask them.

“I’m really grateful to doctors and healthcare. Napakalaking bagay. It’s really life or death sometimes.”

Idinagdag pa ng anak ni Lotlot de Leon na tuloy-tuloy pa rin sana ang tradition ng kanilang pamilya na nagkikita-kita tuwing Linggo o ang “Family Sunday.”

“Before, our Sunday was with Mamita (Pilita), every Sunday we spent it in her house. How do we keep that tradition alive now?

“Wala pa kaming maisip na bagong home base. Baka ako na lang ang mag-volunteer. Marami lang akong huhugasang pinggan when we do it in my house. Pero, kaya natin ‘yan.

“I also hope for strength for my parents and my cousins. It’s still a difficult time for the family. I’m just here to support my mom, whatever comfort and love that I can offer and give her.”

Samantala, pinagkakaabalahan ngayon ng dalaga ang The Accused kasama ang boyfriend na si Jericho Rosales. Ito ang follow-up project nila pagkatapos ng matagumpay nilang serye na Lavender Fields last year.

At bilang ambassador ng iCare, nagpaalala si Janine sa lahat na laging unahin ang kalusugan.

“I guess that’s really my message to the public. Really take care of your health and live life to the fullest. Always find the best partner. At the end of the day, it’s really the people around you who can lift you up in times of need.

“Nakita ko sa ibang tao, especially in showbiz, na tuloy-tuloy lang sa work kahit may karamdaman ka.

“Everybody is more health-conscious around, especially after the pandemic. It’s important that we take care of our health,” sambit pa ni Janine.
