NAGLULUKSA ang buong industriya sa pagpanaw ng Queen of Philippine Cinema na si Ms Gloria Romero noong Enero 25, 2025. Maraming celebrities ang nagpahatid ng kanilang pakikidalamhati sa pamilya ni Ms Gloria na ang labi ay nakalagak sa Arlington Memorial Chapel sa Quezon City.
Ngayong araw, Lunes, January 27 at 28 tuwing umaga lamang ang public viewing.
Naglabas din ng official statement ang anak na si Maritess Gutierrez ukol sa pagpanaw ng veteran actress.
“TO OUR DEAREST FAMILY, RELATIVES, AND FRIENDS: It is with great sadness to announce the passing of my beloved Mother, Gloria Galla Gutierrez aka Gloria Romero, who peacefully joined our Creator earlier today. “In this time of loss, our family deeply appreciates the support, prayers, sympathy, all the lovely messages, and heartfelt condolences that we’ve received. She will surely be missed dearly.’
Maraming celebrities na nakatrabaho ang nagbigay pugay sa tinaguriang Queen of Philippine Cinema. Ilan dito ay sina Amy Perez na nakasama ng matagal sa Palibhasa Lalake ng ABS-CBN.
Ani Amy, wasak ang kanyang puso sa pagpanaw ni Ms Gloria at tiyak mami-miss niya ito na kung tawagin niya’y mommy.

Ilan sa mga pelikula na nagpasikat kay Ms Gloria ay ang 1952 film na Madame X at Dalagang Ilocana na makalipas ang dalawang taon ay hinirang na Best Actress sa FAMAS.
Ginawa rin niya ang mga pelikulang Hong Kong Holiday, Condemned, Nagbabagang Luha, Tanging Yaman, Magnifico, Moments of Love, Beautiful Life at marami pang iba.
Nakasama rin siya sa mga seryeng Familia Zaragoza, Mga Anghel na Walang Langit, May Bukas Pa, at I Love Betty La Fea.
Marami na ring natanggap na parangal si Ms Gloria kabilang na ang dalawang FAMAS Award for Best Actress, isang FAMAS Award for Best Supporting Actress, dalawang Gawad Urian acting awards, at dalawang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actress awards.
