Parreño bagong PAF chief

KOMPIYANSA si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., na ipagpapatuloy ni bagong Philippine Air Force (PAF) commanding general, Major General Stephen Parreño, ng PAF ang pagtugon sa mga pangangailangan ng publiko sa ilalim ng kanyang liderato.

Dumalo si Marcos Jr., sa change of command ceremony ng PAF na nagluklok kay Parreño bilang bagong commanding general kapalit ni Lieutenant General Connor Canlas, Sr.

“I am confident that, under your leadership, the Philippine Air Force will sustain its ongoing initiatives and achieve new heights in responsive service-delivery for the country and for the people,” pahayag ng Pangulo sa kanyang talumpati.

“Let me also laud the efforts of the valiant men and women of the Air Force for guarding the Philippine aerial domain, for assisting the delivery of basic services to Filipinos, in close collaboration with other government agencies and even private stakeholders,” dagdag niya.

Tiniyak ng Pangulo, makakamit ang pangarap na magkaroon ng world-class air force na magpapanatili ng kapayapaan at nag-aambag sa pambansang kaunlaran at seguridad sa rehiyon.

Binigyan diin ni Marcos Jr., ang kanyang komitment sa modernisasyon ng buong Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), hindi lang ng PAF.

“I therefore ask you to remain dedicated to your duties and continue to work closely with this administration as we build a safe, secure, peaceful country for the benefit of all Filipinos,” aniya. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
