FM Jr., deadma sa kaso ni De Lima

HINDI makikialam si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., sa mga kasong kinakaharap ni dating Senator Leila de Lima.

Inihayag ito ni OIC Press Secretary Cheloy Garafil kasunod ng panawagan ni presidential sister Senator Imee Marcos na “house furlough” para kay De Lima matapos maging hostage ng sinabing miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).

“Ang mga kaso po ni Leila de Lima ay nasa korte na, so hayaan na lang po natin ang mga abogado niya to make the proper motion. The President cannot and will not intervene in any case that’s already with the courts,” sabi ni Garafil.

Ipinauubaya aniya ng Palasyo sa korte ang pagpapasya kung palalayain si De Lima.

               “As I said, we’ll leave it up to the court to decide if she’s going to be freed based on the evidence or merits of her case,” aniya. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
